The caviar dish is made from a polished natural seashell, has an oval shape with a length of approx. 10 cm and a width of approx. 6 cm.
The mother-of-pearl spoon has a pleasant round shape and fits comfortably in the hand. As it is made from seashells, it is slightly curved depending on the nature of the shell and has a length of approx. 10 cm.
Both the small caviar dish and the mother-of-pearl spoon feature a subtle Royal Caviar engraving.
As mother-of-pearl from mussel shells is a natural product, the colour and shape of the dishes and spoons differ from one another!
Care advice for mother-of-pearl products:
Mother-of-pearl consists mainly of aragonite (a mineral variant of calcium carbonate) and conchiolin (a protein-like substance that is responsible for the stability and lustre of mother-of-pearl). These two components are arranged in fine layers on top of each other and give mother-of-pearl its characteristic iridescent appearance. It combines durability, aesthetic lustre and a pleasant feel.
To ensure that you can enjoy your small mother-of-pearl bowl and spoon for a long time, please note the following care instructions:
- Hand wash only: Use warm water and a mild detergent that is not highly acidic.
- No dishwasher: Heat and aggressive detergents can damage the material and impair its shine.
- Dry with a soft cloth: This will preserve the elegant sheen.
- Store carefully: It is best to store it separately, for example in a soft bag, to avoid knocks and scratches. Make sure to protect mother-of-pearl from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
